Fitness-Class
What is it?
This Functional Fitness-Training class is a small group training experience designed to increase your overall cardiovascular health and your strength at the same time!
It is a form of Cardio/Strength training, a method of exercise that utilizes weights, circuits, and bodyweight movements to maximize both your time, and your fitness level. You’ll lose fat, you’ll gain muscle, and you’ll feel great! You’ll learn movements that translate to the real world. That means you’ll be less likely to suffer injury, and you’ll be able to handle anything that life throws your way.
Each session will last only one hour (or less!), but will be truly intense. There is no need to spend hours and hours on the treadmill. In fact, that kind of training is counter productive! You will learn that ultimate fitness can, and will, be had with short intervals of intense effort.
The class is conducted in small groups of 2 to 6 people. There are a number of benefits to this. One obvious one is price! It’s far cheaper to do group training than private personal training, which means we can meet more often, and you’ll get more out of it in the long run. Another benefit is that you’ll have training buddies to help motivate you to new heights. A group allows for a palpable electric vibe that just isn’t possible when you’re training alone. Consequently, you’ll progress faster.
Where?
We do our training at Loprinzi’s gym on SE 42nd and Division. It is a small, well-equiped, historic (opened in the 1940’s) gym with a very relaxed client base. But, we are NOT affiliated in any way with the gym, we just train there. Please do not call Loprinzi’s for information about group training, instead email Nick at coach@dojoathletics.com
Cost?
$15/session (see schedule)
$100/month (3 sessions a week)
–Plus dues to Loprinzi’s gym (they have cheap rates, no contracts, punch cards, etc)
WARNING:
This Functional Fitness-Training class will be very intense, and while you are always encouraged to work at your own pace, you will be working at the upper limits of your capacity. If you have not worked out in a while, or if you are new to working out, then please email me about how to get yourself prepared. Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise routine.
